The Comics by Brad store is up and running!  “BIG cheese gear” makes a great present for yourself or anyone on your holiday shopping list.  Click here to go to the store

You may have noticed that the store has been up for the past few weeks, and gradually growing. Well, my initial group of designs is complete, so now is a great time to order if you were thinking about it. At one point I mentioned that there would be 10 designs in the initial group, but I decided on quality over quantity – so there are 6 stylish designs available.

I highly recommend the “I Liked the Cheese before it was BIG” design – this is a limited edition design that will only be available to true grass-roots fans. This design will be pulled from the store before the comic strip becomes a world-wide sensation. My guess is, 10 years from now, these shirts will be going for crazy dollars on eBay, so these are a great investment.

I hope this blog entry doesn’t come across as a hard sell, as it’s not.  I appreciate continued readership and attention above anything else.  I am pleased by the traffic has already been receiving and I encourage everyone to continue checking for updates, to post comments, to subscribe by feed or email, and to tell friends/stumble/strangers/etc…

I can be reached anytime at brad@comicsbybrad.comand I try to check my email on a daily basis.  Thanks for everyone’s support.

Well, this is officially the first installment of “Ask Earmouse!” – the unofficial best part of  I received a lot of good questions over the past 4 weeks, and I have narrowed it down to a few of my favorites.

Earmouse, why are you so awesome?
— Anonymouse, Big City, USA
Great question, Anonymouse!  Unfortunately, some things don’t have answers, they just are.  Why is the sky blue?  Why does gravity exist?  Why is cheese so good?  All of these are examples of things that just are.  And such is my awesome-ness.  Of course, my amazing acting skills, superior intellect, and dashingly-good looks don’t hurt either.

Earmouse, how old are you?
— Tom K., Tampa, FL

This question is less important than the question, “what age can I act?”  The answer is, I am very diverse in my ability.  I have the ability to pull off the part of a “coming of age” young mouse, AND the ability (with a little face makeup) to play the part of a crafty and experienced older mouse.  This extraordinary range makes me perfect for almost any role.  Unfortunately, there is only one of me.

Dear Earmouse, first off I’d like to say you are my favorite character in the big cheese.  My question is, how do you change a flat tire?
— Shawn J., Santa Barbara, CA

And you are my favorite question asker, Shawn.  You came to the right place, I know a thing or two about this from years of driving my Humvee up and down the Pacific Coast Highway.  If you get a flat tire, first proceed safely out of the way of traffic.  Once pulled over, have one of the members of your entourage change the tire.  If no one in your entourage knows how, then get a new entourage.  On the off chance you are by yourself, simply call AAA, or wait for a hot lady to pull over and help you change it.

Thanks to everyone who sent in questions.  I apologize that I am not able to answer everyone’s questions, but that is the price for being popular.  Please continue to send questions to  You can ask me about the web, comics, cheese, sports, or anything else you can think of.
“Ask Earmouse!” is a exclusive, published monthly.

Brad asked that I take care of the blog portion of this site.  So just for clarification, Brad creates the comics, and I [Earmouse] write the articles.

In a nutshell, “the BIG cheese”, is a story of a heroic mouse, and all the average people he has to deal with on a daily basis.  It takes place in the Victorian era on a Roman vineyard or in modern time Big City, USA – I don’t know – at the time I wrote this Brad was still undecided.  So you can see what I have to deal with.

The webcomic stars yours truly, so it should be enjoyable.  Let’s face it, I’m just working on “the BIG cheese” because my agent said it would be a good career move while I look for something more appropriate to my abilities.

Brad said I could do whatever I want with this section of the website, so I am going to start a series called “Ask Earmouse!”  Every month I will answer a few questions from my fans, so please send questions to  You can ask me about the web, comics, cheese, sports, or anything else you can think of.

Until next time… enjoy the site.

All jokes aside, this is a pretty good webcomic.
