This comic introduces Peanut, the dog. In this comic, Peanut looks a little bigger than he really is; but I love the way this comic looks, so I’m not changing it. Also, for what it’s worth, this is the first comic in “the BIG cheese” that does not have Brad anywhere in it – a landmark event.
On a personal note: if I notice either of my dogs lying peacefully on the floor, I can’t help but sneak up on them, roll them over, and rough them up for a second. I feel it adds much-needed drama to their lives.

Who cares that this is the first comic without Brad? Not that I’m counting, but this is the 14th comic without Earmouse! It’s nice to let the suppporting cast get some exposure, but there is such a thing as too much. Get back to what your audience is here for… give us more Earmouse!
